Our support groups are at the heart of Birdsong’s mission. In every session, we offer more than just a conversation—we offer understanding, community, and the strength that comes from knowing you are not alone. We understand how isolating emotional pain can feel, and we also know the transformative power of sharing that pain with others in a safe and supportive environment.
Why Support Groups Matter
Mental health challenges—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, or chronic stress—often come with an added layer of silence. Many people feel ashamed, misunderstood, or unsure about how to talk about what they’re going through. Over time, this emotional isolation can deepen the wounds we carry.
Support groups provide a unique and vital form of healing. Unlike therapy, which is typically one-on-one and clinical, support groups are peer-centered spaces that foster empathy, shared experiences, and collective growth. They offer a circle of understanding—people who may not have all the answers, but who have walked similar paths and are willing to walk with you.

Our Support Group Offerings
We offer a wide variety of support groups that meet regularly, both in-person and virtually. These groups are open to adults of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. All our support groups are facilitated by compassionate professionals who create structure, uphold safety and confidentiality, and encourage respectful dialogue.

We also understand that healing can take many forms. That’s why we offer integrated wellness services—including mindfulness classes, creative arts therapy, nature-based activities, and one-on-one counseling—that complement your group experience.
