About Birdsong Wellness Center

Bird songs have long been associated with improved mental health.  The natural sound of singing birds has been shown to lower levels of cortisol, the stress hormone.  They naturally increase feelings of hope, joy, and relaxation.  Scientific Reports published a study in 2022 that reported listening to bird songs significantly boosts mood and reduces symptoms of depression.

We chose “Birdsong” for the name of our wellness center because it matches our vision of improving mental health through a combination of modern techniques like talk therapy plus traditional, nature-based methods like time in nature, animal-assisted therapy, beach therapy, and journaling.
